SurgeonsList is an independent directory of surgeons in the United States, run by SurgeonsList. It is not affiliated with any hospital, medical board or professional society.
Where the details come from
Basic listings are built from public sources, such as the surgeon's own website and public registers, and from submissions sent with our form. Each listing names its source and shows the date its details were last updated. We do not publish ratings, reviews or referral fees, and we never invent details: unknown facts are shown as unknown.
Before booking, you can check any surgeon's board certification at certificationmatters.org (ABMS) and their license with your state medical board.
Free listings
Every listing is free and built from public sources or submissions. A paid Verified option is coming soon. Before a listing is labelled Verified, we check the surgeon's board certification with the certifying board (through ABMS Certification Matters or the specialty board) and their active license with the state medical board, and the owner confirms the details. Verified will never be a rating, and paying will never change the facts we publish.
Corrections and removals
Anyone can send a correction with the add or update form. We review every submission by hand.
